I want to kill a pig!

When are we all going to get together and chase them?

Talk a bout a meet and greet...maybe a meet and hunt...LOL!

Hence it is, that democracies have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths

I recently saw three of them out in the open in a field off of US-35 between Chillicothe and Jackson. That is the first time I have ever seen wild hogs in Ohio. I'd love the opportunity to take a few of them. Wild boar sure is tasty! They're more dangerous and destructive by far than coyotes, and I'm glad Ohio is a free-fire zone against them. I'll be on the look out.

The walkers are coming!

I have officially lost my faith in the system.

Due to the rising cost of ammunition, I will no longer be able to provide a warning shot. Thanks for your understanding.

The only wild hogs we have in WV is down in the southern part of the state and they are a state regulated game animal with seasons, bag limits, and tags that are drawn by lottery and are open to WV residents only.

I'm seriously confused.
What are you talking about?

Who knows, Alan? This thread is 7+ years old.

Way back in 2011 and earlier in this thread, we talked about how feral hogs were introduced in Southern Ohio. I think that was the name of the Co. that closed it's doors and dropped it's fences resulting in the introduction of feral pigs to the state. Just guessing here, as I don't remember the actual name...been too long!

Hence it is, that democracies have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths

Yes, that was the name of the Company that was west of McArthur, on route 50, that was a hunting reserve. Didn't know they went out of business.

Ok...the confusion generated here is a result of an OLD thread being revived with NEW speculation. The Double-D hunting preserve is NOT out of business! They have a website up with information current as of the 2017 season.

The preserve that is referenced earlier in this thread (back in 2011) was a TOTALLY DIFFERENT COMPANY that went out of business in the 80's (maybe early 90's) if I remember correctly. There were multiple "preserves" legit and otherwise, that resulted in the current situation. I am unable to find a reference to the name of the specific facility most people associate with this, and I cannot remember what it was. For your reading pleasure, here is a bit of history on Feral Hogs and their introduction into Ohio's ecosystem:
