Any new processes for Applying for a CHL

Post by Willyc7777 » Mon Nov 09, 2015 2:03 pm

Just wondering if anything has changed on getting your CHL with the new laws at the beginning of the year.

I got my CHL in 2013 and paid the $67 and had to submit my passport photo and take my training certificate with me.

My sister is looking to apply for hers, what would she have to do now and what would she have to take.

We both live in Franklin County, I know she has her paperwork etc and that she has to make an appointment etc.

Just need to know if anything has changed or not.

Thanks all!

She will still need the photo, training certificate and $67. About the only thing that has changed is the application itself. It no longer asks for all of your places of residence since you turned 18, and it has a bunch of stuff that you don't need to fill out unless you are getting a CLEO sign-off on an NFA item. Read carefully and follow instructions...

Does anywhere that borders Franklin County do weekend appointments?

Best bet is to check the county sheriff websites and see what they say.
