Post subject: Will Kasich sign SB 199?

Usually when one reads an article about a bill that has passed the State Congress, there is a statement along the lines like, "the bill has been sent to gov kasich who is expected to sign it."

I notice this time I read no such statements. Are people expecting Kasich to veto it?

Just wondering!

It has to be signed 10 days after passage. I believe that's Dec. 19.

These last two years were ultimately such a goat rope from the Ohio General Assembly in terms of improving gun rights! I pretty much couldn't care less if Kasich signs this!

"I have decided not to vote, speak in public, assemble in groups or petition my government either directly or by writing to the newspapers.

Some ignorant person may become alarmed, and we can't have that.''

Brian:

Just between us chickens, we got a few incremental improvements out of this. My personal hot button was "houses of worship", which went nowhere. Overall, though, some slight improvement, and stuff we can point to as "well, that didn't make blood flow in the street"....

The upsetting part is that the politicians promise a lot more than they deliver, and we only seem to get stuff passed on a lame-duck basis every couple of years.

Someday....

Meantime, Kasich will likely sign this one. IMHO....

Regards,

Stu
