Post subject: Carried during a job interview !!!

Yesterday I had to go to downtown Cincinnati for a job interview. I don't go to the city very often, and I've had my CHL for about 6 months now. I don't generally carry during the day, largely because my current employer doesn't allow it, but I decided if I was going downtown I would carry.

I parked in a private parking garage 3 floors down. Since I was there after rush hour it was deserted and I don't mind telling you that I was glad I had my little Kel-Tec P32 in my right front pocket. I carried my briefcase in my left hand as I walked so that my right hand would be available if needed.

Once up on the street there was the usual assortment of low lifes with their pants half way down to their knees and once again I was glad to be carrying.

When I arrived at the building for the interview I was glad that I didn't see any gun buster signs.

I had to chuckle to myself at one point while I was in the interview. I'm sure the interviewer would have been stunned to know that I was armed !!! :) :)

All in all a non-eventful day, just the way it should be...

good to hear.

I had an interview today, the office did have a gun buster sign, but i'm applying for an armed security job, so i'll be ok if they hire.

Good luck on getting the job!

You got that right, Wiley. The Mrs. and I are heading up to Greektown to try our luck tomorrow night. Have to drive through some pretty scary neighborhoods to get there, though. You better believe I will be carrying! It's a shame I have to leave it in the car, though. Figuring I will take my Hi-point, and leave the Ruger at home....just in case someone breaks in to the car while we are in the casino. That's the nice thing about owning a cheap, ugly BUG. Not gonna miss it if it gets stolen

Fixed it for ya :D . I love my Hi-Point C9. It's easy to shoot, reliable, the price is right, and when you buy one you're supporting an Ohio gun manufacturer. The Hi-Point 45's are even still made right here in Lima, I believe.

Well...mine has always been reliable. No sometimes to it. Never a misfire or stovepipe. I pull trigger, HP goes BANG! Still prefer my SR9C, though...much more comfortable to carry..and holds 7 more rounds should I need them :D

Mike - Most garages, in fact I do not know of any that aren't posted.... seems the Central parking co has posted all there lots and they own the rights to almost all downtown parking...lol Downtown is great, except keep in mind fountain square is recently more and more become a no carry due to open air arena license's, there is usuually beer sales on the sq. and drinking with all the free concerts.......
