LOL I got half way thru the page before I laughed it closed.
Let me just say that there are pro's as well as con's to larger groups.
You will almost always have a power struggle.
Larger groups are a double edge sword, you have more man power but also larger requirement of resources.
If you can put the man power to use all is well, if you can't it becomes your noose.
I would say there becomes a point where larger groups actually become a hindrance.
I don't buy into the notion that a "lone wolf" can't make it, I'd say it depends on the wolf
But imo 4-6 people is a good sized group where resource demands, man power and social structure is fairly balanced.
If you have 400 people you're not going to be very mobile if you need to be.
and you can forget about keeping a low profile with a group that size.
I would say the biggest threat to large groups (other then illness/starvation from increased resource demands) is leadership.. Do not let any single person take control, or if you do hope they're trustworthy.
