since I stirred the hornets nest by giving away a free tumbler... the upper management has bestowed to me a allowance of a pay it forward thread.....

this is how it shall work

I had a tumbler Kolt-46 wanted it .. he posted I'll take it , and in return he shall post another item for offer , and if someone wants it they will post I'll take it and offer something up for offer in place ....lets please keep this firearm related

The person that has the item up for offer shall be responsible for shipping .....

We can rebuild him, we can make him stronger, we can make him faster, we can make him politically correct..NOT !!!

I like this idea. I have a Nylon Shoulder holster for a full size gun and two mags that Id like to give away. its nothing special, but I got two for our class and only needed one. As the rules state, Ill pay shipping.

Received: Tumbler
From: Rich 2.0

Offered: Uncle Mike's Glock holster.

Details:
This was purchased for my Glock 26 which I have since given to my grandfather. I believe that all of the standard-framed Glocks will fit into this holster. PM if you could use this item; I'm glad to offer it up to a loving home!

It's a great idea Rich, but not everyone accepting an item will have one someone else wants. White elephant Christmases are so hard.

However, here is a once in a blue moon good idea. Post items with a minimum donation to BFA needed. Buyer is still responsible for shipping or to pick up item, but this provides a great way to help raise $$$ for BFA while still helping clear out closets. :egrin: All we need is someone to confirm donations are made.

If the idea is excepted maybe you could call it BFA donation flea market? :D

Sounds good to me....

I swear I posted a comment earlier, but can't find it. I blame Rich :D....

Good idea with the BFA donation, too. I'm not sure how that'd be handled, but it's kind of "honor system" anyway....

Stu

Rich:

Given the nearly accidental arrival of the whole "Pay It Forward" thread, it might just be a lucky coincidence that THDC lucked into this early on....

(It can take 4 days to work through my sticky :D....)

If you haven't scared him off, let's see what happens.

Also, no strings were really attached at the time, other than "it would be nice"....

Pay it forward really seems to work best on that basis - if you need something, post a request. If you have something, post a notice. Having the recipient toss a couple bucks at BFA is a good idea, too.

Regards,

Stu

I'd be happy just to have to teach me some of the basics of reloading. That would surely be worth a donation.

I'll teach y'all how to reload on a progressive press if you're near Sandusky.

Same offer on reloading with a progressive press....

I'm a relative newbie, but studied up on it 40+ years ago and did nothing. Finally took the plunge. There's not a lot to it other than a sort of learn-by-doing, and a lot of concentration.

(There's really no difference between a progressive press and single-stage, except the PITA effects, and a need to be very careful of what's at what stage of the process.)

(Ouch.... You have no idea how saying "Progressive" hurts  .)

IAC, instruction in general isn't a bad idea. Same thing goes for a range session with something that you're thinking about buying, or something seriously exotic. For example, I've got a couple of Para LDA guns, which, although not unusual per se, many of us may not ever see, or at least get a chance to shoot.

Regards,

Stu
