Note: No Firearms WTS Ads!

Post by BuckeyeFirearmsAdmin » Mon May 10, 2010 9:29 pm

Folks, at this time we are not allowing Complete firearms sales on the forum. There was some concern over liability issues. At the moment BFA has such strong commitments to improving our gun rights we can't chance a bloomburg type sting on our site. It's not a trust issue with any of you guys. I totally apologize for the inconvenience. In time we may be able to allow firearms listing once again. Please continue to post all non ffl items. Contact us if you have special circumstances and we'll try to help. Thanks so much for your understanding all.

When will we be able to post Firearm Ad's?.

Post by NWBuckeye » Sun Apr 24, 2011 12:27 am

It would be nice to utilize our 2nd. Amendment Rights as you mentioned?
It would be nice to have another outlet to sell or purchase firearms here.

Not being able to sell firearms on one specific website has nothing to do with 2nd Amendment Rights. There are many other places you can buy or sell firearms on that are not registered political organizations.

I'll take the hard work the BFA has done for restoring our 2nd Amendment rights over being able to buy or sell firearms here any day.
To ignore your rights is a giant slap in the face to our Constitution, our freedom, and every single man and woman who has died protecting them.
We didn't lose our rights overnight. To think we'll get them back overnight is simply foolish.

This topic has been covered many times in the past. Buckeye made the decision that our focus was going to stay on protecting and advancing the rights of Ohio gun owners. There are many places that a person can sell or buy or trade firearms online and that is simply not an area we are going to spend resources. Given all the other places to list firearms, there just is no upside for Buckeye to be involved in this area, but there is plenty of downside that could take up valuable time and resources that we would rather spend in elections and legislation.

sgro:

If you'll look at JEaton's post just above yours, you'll see that we prefer not to sell, buy, or trade firearms on this board.

Explicitly, we're prohibiting sales (or purchases). Outright trades, who knows, to be honest. I would say no.... BFA simply does not want to be the "conduit", nor to be perceived as an "agent" in these matters.

There are some posts out there that we're still arguing about.... But that's another story....

Welcome aboard, too! There's a sticky at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10097 that you probably should read, but it's not mandatory....

(Just self-defense.)

Stu

Last I knew we were allowed to post wtb ads, I checked before posting one myself. I suggest using gunlisting, armslist, swap giant, or other site. I support BFA's stance on the issue although I would like to be able to post Wts firearm ads here.

Joe:

What bothers me is that Rich seems to be working on handloading 18" naval artillery shells....

Nothing good can come of that :D....

HANDloading? I think those need a crane or lift to load

Besides, don't they just put bags of powder in the tube?

I don't know, some good may come of it if Rich is within range of certain targets.... ;-)

Ken:

Sh....

Rich is going to make Dillon's day if they can talk him into a progressive loader ....

(Imagine casings big enough to store a cow in, too :D.)

But, mostly, it'll keep him out of our hair for a while until he figures out what's going on.

OR, he'll find a way to do it, and really upset Toby Hoover.

Regards,
Stu

Stu,

I assume one of those would require OPEN carry? That would make Toby happy since she wants to know who is carrying....

After Dillon delivers, maybe Freedom Arms can convert a Ruger for him?

Oh man! Think of the recoil!
