I have been to the past three NRA annual meetings. The local newspaper always has an anti RKBA ad in them. This year was no exception, and irpt was focused on stand your ground laws, and sounded like it was written by the Brady Bunch.

The ad included the URL http://www.licensedtokill.org

I think one reason most Leftists oppose Stand Your Ground legislation and it clear impact upon society, is that SYG laws tend to dilute the Leftist voter base.

The disappointing thing for me about the discussion is no one is bring up why these laws were passed in the first place. Prosecutors had discretion to try cases and were going after people in clearly good shoots for their own political gain. They abused their discretion so that discretion was taken away. We dont want to go back to that nonsense!

Interestingly, the Post Dispatch was always the liberal paper, while the old Globe Democrat was the more conservative (not conservative, it was a big city newspaper after all, just more so than the Post Dispatch)
