Georgia legislators pass ‘most extreme gun bill ever’

Too many great points to list here.

To show how GOOD this bill is:
Quote:
Senior national policy director for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence calls this piece a legislation a “slap in the face” for victims of gun violence in Georgia.

I rest my case.

On behalf of gun violence victims who might have been able to defend themselves without restrictive gun laws, I'd like to slap every member of the Brady Campaign in the face.

Looks like good stuff.

Things move so slowly in Ohio. look at all the stuff they crammed into that bill.. never happen in a single blow here in Ohio.

I have called & emailed the committee's where HB99 and SB36 have been collecting dust for one year now with nothing to show for my efforts. HB99 has had one hearing and that's it. I agree that SB36 has strong penalties, but that could be addressed, IF given a hearing. With Republican majorities I don't see why HB99 has stalled. In my opinion this Bill is workable. I'm a Republican, and I don't understand why the "State and Local Govt. Committee" won't work on HB 99 and pass it like other states are doing.

How the Ohio Legislature does things is right up there with an explanation of the Book of Revelations....

Might be better to seek "why is there air?" :D....

But, eventually, they get around to things, sometimes....

Meantime, Welcome Aboard! There's a sticky at http://forums.buckeyefirearms.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10097 that you should have a look at, but it's not mandatory, and may be sleep inducing. But it may explain who the little dog in my avatar is, as well as who's here, and how this place works.

If that doesn't drive you to chasing butterflies, stick around and enjoy!

(I can't say what our committees are up to. I'm just the janitor here :D, and they only pay me about 2347 electrons a month, which about covers the cost of the period on the end of this sentence. :D)

Stu

:ugeek: I read your sticky note and promise to behave. This coming June 12th will mark 2 yrs. since I've even fired a weapon. Protecting our 2nd Amendment is too important to our Country's survival to just watch the constant attacks on it. Thanks for the welcome and guidance.

Just happened to notice your last post (again - I read it back in April, too).

It appears that you have been behaving. However hard that is to believe.... :D

Also, sort of Happy Anniversary with respect to firing a weapon. Beats hanging out in strip clubs, too, if they're as sleazy as the ones I knew about before I got married, and the wife doesn't object nearly as strenuously, either....

I'm sure we've got somebody here who can top it, but I worked Security for a burlesque house 'round Christmas for a few nights, about 45 years ago. I almost hated taking the money....

(Beats the heck out of driving around shaking doors and such.)

Regards,

Stu

I know it, its gets aggravating at times. I look at other states like GA and wonder why can't Ohio do the same. On the other hand the things we have accomplished have been phenomenal. HB 234 is a recent example. You just got to stay positive.
