Post subject: BFA Gubernatorial Endorsement

DeWine is anti-gun and was even endorsed by the Brady Campaign in the past. There is no way any pro-gun organization should consider endorsing him. It's a shame that Husted is his running mate because Husted is a good pro-gun person.

It looks like DeWine will be the GOP candidate. I certainly hope that the NRA and BFA politely bow out and do NOT support such an anti-gun governor.

What are your thoughts?

First off, BFA leadership does NOT read their own forum. So, Your opinion or message will fall on deaf ears.

I think the NRA and BFA must put out a big campaign that DeWine is a 100% pro-gun candidate. He is for stand your ground and constitutional carry.

Make him to say otherwise.

Rumor has it that BFA will endorse DeWine

So has Ohio Carry.

It's pretty obvious BFA's endorsement of DeWine is purely political. They believe DeWine will win and want to get in his good graces. That's all well and good, but don't pretend it's because he's some great supporter of gun rights in Ohio.

With this endorsement and other moves BFA has made in the legislative arena it should be clear they have abandoned Ohio's gun owners and no are longer truly interested in promoting gun rights in Ohio. Shame.

If every pro-gun group, especially THIS one would get behind Taylor and take those votes away from Dewine and Cordray wins, it ought to send a message to the GOP....and Husted..... that Dewine ,if he loses, was a bad choice and that gun owners that actually vote, need to be taken seriously.
But it's actions like this endorsment of Dewine by BFA that sends the message that pro-gun associations....and gun owners..... are not united, AND such endorsments "help" to divide gun owners.

I know there are some good people in this organization, but I can't for the life of me, understand why they hang around. Sometimes you need to stand on principal, even if your candidate loses.
If you don't stand for whats right, what the freek DO you stand for. :xconf:

And to think at one time I was seriously considering joining this organization.......SMH.....so sad. :(

Jim Irvine, your group's endorsement of Mike DeWine for governor has spurred me to not volunteer this year as a range safety officer at the BFA Buckeye Blast shoot/fundraiser.

"I have decided not to vote, speak in public, assemble in groups or petition my government either directly or by writing to the newspapers.

Some ignorant person may become alarmed, and we can't have that.''

Apparently you don't want to go along to get along. It also appears that you have certain beliefs and standards that you will not compromise. There is a name for that......

I may have an opinion as to OFCC's pick, but if OFCC would invite me to join and should I accept then I may offer my worthless opinion. But, OFCC has not allowed anyone to challenge their chosen ones.
