Post subject: Ohio Appleseed Schedule - 2011

Fall is a beautiful time to spend a weekend with fellow Buckeyes learning about our American Herigate and some field marksmanship skills. Here is a link to the Appleseed website, with the upcoming dates for Ohio:

http://appleseedinfo.org/search-states. ... ename=Ohio

Take a look around at the site, and you'll see that each weekend clinic is packed with information and presented in a family friendly atmosphere. Most locations offer camping or reasonable accomodations nearby.

Well worth the time - even for those that thought they knew how to shoot a rifle!

Yes, there are shoots until December, and the shoots will begin in early 2012 (many dates being finalized at this time).

Special note: If you earn your Rifleman patch (shoot a 210+ on the AQT) in the inclement weather (winter months) you'll earn a special WinterSeed Rifleman's patch - which is a pretty nice rendition of the traditional Rifleman's Patch, with icecles and snow on it. Looks great.

Kah...do you know if there are any negotiations in the works for bringing back the Athens shoot? Last I talked with Nurse Ratchett, she didn't know if it would ever happen :(

Hence it is, that democracies have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths
