Machine question.

Eugene Stoner's ubiquitous Black Rifle, the AR-15 has become
the Modern symbol of the right of the individual to be armed
with an effective rifle capable of Defending Liberty. Discuss anything

Machine question.

Post by Buckeye Dan » Fri Aug 26, 2011 5:50 pm

In light of a recent thread the question of a specific machine cut on the AR/M4 upper came up. I am curious to know if anyone owns a Colt or otherwise that is missing the cut like the one on the left in the bottom photo. The top photo shows where to look.

The website claims that Colt never made that cut on the AR-15. That may be true. Technically I have a Sporter. I was pretty much oblivious to this feature being omitted from any upper. I am by no means an expert though and have to admit I haven't looked for it on everything I've handled. So which do you have? Cut or no cut? Non Colt replies are fine too.

I think all of mine have time I'm in the safe, I'll confirm. Might be one that doesn't...
