http://www.ammosc.com/ is selling mags they manufacture at decent prices. They are claiming a 3-4 week back-order as of the 10th. You can never have too many mags, so I ordered a handful of the 20s and I'll see when and if I receive any quality mags.

Just thought I would pass this along, proceed at your own risk.

This place still has some mags as well. Decent prices too. http://www.gunclips.net/ar15.html

As I mentioned in the other thread, 100% markup does not equivalate to "decent".

Matt's link OTOH has mags starting at $15 which is more on board with reality.

I agree. There is no way I am going to pay the panic price. I don't NEED mags. But for the ASC price, I'll pick up a couple to see how they stack up.

Not all mags are equal so Buyer B-ware! I only use Ruger Factory mags in my Mini-14, they are expensive, but have never given me a failure to feed. So say ProMags poly work OK. I can't say, never tried them. Pmags seem to be everyones favorite.
Thanks for the link, the prices are great, not much detail about mags manufacturer though.

So after nearly 4 MONTHS, not weeks, I received my mags. Actually forgot about ordering them until I was emailed the shipping confirmation.

They seem to be well built mags, will have to see after some range time.

To keep this thread up-to-date and relevant, it should be noted that many AR components that have been desperately sought-after since December (and in some cases November) are now readily available at pre-hysteria prices.

Magazines of all types and capacities are starting to come into the market in-volume. Even PMags.

Over the last two weeks, BCGs of all walks - from Young Mfg. to BCM to LMT Enhanced - have been available for immediate shipment from several retail sources, at pre-December prices.

That is the irony of me receiving these today... I can now order ten metal 30 rounders in an ammo can for $99.99 from PSA. If I could only receive them in this state... Might have to have an out of state friend make an order for me.

I finally got my orders from brownells, 10 gen 2, and 10 gen 3 (non window)

Doesn't really seem to be a great deal difference between the two just by looking at them.

got the gen 2's earlier this month and gen 3's mid last week. order date was 12/28

still got a 12/31 order for 10 gen 2's at DSG should be shipping any day now.
gotta figure out where to stuff all the mags now, I could only fit 10 in a 50cal can.
and I only had 2 empty can's..

lol now I just need to build me a AR to match but the lowers are still hard to get it seems.
I had been putting off getting a AR cause I really wanted one of the keltec RFB bullpups but those are impossible to get and selling for outrageous prices.

No way im gonna get "stuck" again when the "next time" comes. im planing on buying 3 lowers , stashing 2 and building 1 soon as price/availability returns to somewhat normal.

^ That's the way to go. Plan ahead. Get things when they're "regular" priced. :)
