M&P15 Sport

So, I want an AR, but don't want to spend a ton.
GR Tactical has these in stock for $750.

What is this rifle missing that S&W's other ARs are not?

No carry handle - but a lot of people take those off anyway.

One other thing I noted looking at the specs - the standard M&P15 has a chromed barrel, while the sport does not list that feature.

I love my M&P 15 - never a problem. I am finally getting down to doing some customizing to it to enhance the look and feel a bit.

pretty much a bare minimum AR, not dust cover, no forward assist, no carry handle, not sure if it comes with a rear sight or not off the top of my head. It doesn't have a chrome lined barrel like Stryker mentioned as well. Other than that I have heard good things about it.

I like mine. I picked up a carry handle and sling for it. I've put about 500 through it so far and not one issue shooting federal green tips. Just for plinking around, I don't really miss the forward assist or dust cover. Worst case, you can upgrade the upper later if you really find that you want those features.

Yes it does come with a rear site. The Magpul flip up kind. Mine also came with a PMag.

I've owned a sport model for 3 years and had no issues. Great rifle.

Thanks folks. I can't really find a bad review of this rifle. Good to know.

Don't have one myself, but I have heard it called a great bare bones AR by many.
