As of 3-23-2015 there is no longer a restriction on magazine size?

A 30/31 round magazine or more capacity is considered a machine-gun on Ohio.

COL, I was aware of that. I was asking what "this" the OP was referring to that implied that the law was changing.

Correct, after March 23, a 31+ round magazine does not magically turn your firearm into an automatic firearm. Am. Sub. H.B. 234 struck that provision from the ORC.

so, now i can get a high cap for my squirl gun ,
and i dont have to move it from my bench to reload it every few shots?
