I shoot in the basement on occasion. No I am not a nut case. Yes it is legal in my city.

I know a guy in Grafton Township who was building his new house. He buried a large diameter concrete drain pipe (24" maybe?) starting at his basement wall, going about 50 feet out. His basement wall has a big hole in it where he can shoot year round. The end of it is also accessible from out in the yard. Pretty cool. :-)

I can actually picture that. Wish I had something similar. My basement isn't all that big and leadless rounds are impossible to find and expensive as heck.

Farmermike,

Thanks…good guess. My daughter explains it best…when asked about our heritage, she says we are British Isle muts… with some German mixed in.
This is a great site, I hope we get some more information on ranges and clubs.

If you're in the SW OH area, nice place in NKY.

Target World used to be a nice place, but I don't think so anymore.

Love the map. How do you add anything to it?

Target World is ok IF you go early Tuesday - Thursday......other than that it is down right dangerous!!!! They need a range officer to be on the range at all times.

American Indoor Shooting Range is where I go. I pay $25 dollars for my wife and I, and we can shoot all day long for that price. The owner is excellent and very helpful, especially to first timers to his range. I highly recommend his range to anyone asking for a place to shoot.

Ive got to give a shout out to The Powder Room in Powell Ohio. Great people at that range and they care about every shooter that comes in the door. Great service and inexpensive also.

I had a friend of mine the took some 357 brass and modified to accept shotgun primers. Then he would shoot paraffin wax bullets in his basement. He had a dryer vent with a computer type fan 120mm connect to the dryer hose to pull the powder smell out of the basement.
