Sharonville has the first one since the expansion this weekend. They claim it will be much bigger as they have more space and don't have to say no to some. Prices usually suck though. I love the iPhone and my Blue book of guns.

I went to the berea gun show today. It was my first show and I loved it. I got some great deals on stuff for my saiga. I could've blown 10 grand no problem. If I had that to spend it would've been gone in a hour. Met some good people too.

I work near the fairgrounds, but drive home to Cincy most evenings, so I wasn't up for attending. A coworker mentioned he enjoyed it though.

Gun show this weekend in columbus at the westland mall. Anyone ever been? If so is it worth risking venturing to that oh so excellent part of town?

It is pretty good. I would definitely go armed, and of course unload in the parking lot.

I went as well. Didn't see any deals that caught my eye. Although, I was just there to look at holsters and picked up a leather holster that weaves onto my belt for $25 bucks. Isn't half bad for concealment, but I'm generally just wearing it around the house or the property right now to break it in.

I did conceal carry with it into walmart the other day though and nobody seemed to notice and I was only wearing a polo T-Shirt to cover it. My 9MM isn't the smallest gun in the world either, Sig P250C :ewink:

New gun person here. I'm looking to buy my first firearm. I've gone shooting several times and I've narrowed down the first gun I think I want but I want to be able to handle one before moving on down to other choices. Problem is none of the stores in town that I've called (Columbus) had one in stock so I'm going to the gun show to see if I can find one there.

My main question is this: How do I know the gun I'm buying, if it's a private sale or if used, is a functional gun? You obviously can't test fire there. Just worried about shelling out 500+ for a gun that doesn't work or has problems. Being this would be my first firearm purchase should I just go with a new one instead of used?

Am I just being paranoid?

Thanks.
