Two teens shot in less than one month

Post by pps_dad » Tue Dec 16, 2008 11:39 pm

DAYTON — A bus stop at a North Dayton street corner was the site of a shooting for the second time in a month, according to Dayton police.

The latest occurred Sunday, Dec. 14, when a 14-year-old boy was shot during a robbery after he got off an RTA bus at Santa Clara and Wheatley avenues. The teen identified his attacker because he knew the 16-year-old from a Dayton high school, according to police incident report.

The victim told police four males approached him and a friend as they got off the bus to walk home. At least two of the males had guns, and they ordered the victim and his friend to get on the ground, the report said.

The group then searched the victim and took items including a necklace, a cell phone, an MP3 music player, house keys, a lighter and ChapStick worth approximately $163, the report said.

The alleged shooter then asked the victim for his money, and the victim said he didn't have any. The alleged shooter kicked the victim in the face, and the four males began to walk away, the victim told police.
