Incident Summary: On Thursday, 9-15-11 at 2:30AM Patrol officers were dispatched to " Mitch's", at 4400 Karl Road in regards to a shooting. When the officers arrived they found the victim inside the bar with gunshot wounds to the upper body. The victim was pronounced by Clinton Township Medic #61 at 2:38AM.
At this time the investigation revealed that the victim [ employee] was cleaning the bar when the suspect fired shots thru the front door striking the victim. Anyone with information in regards to this homicide please call the Homicide Squad at 645-4730.
This is the 66th Homicide in 2011.

Well, the sign/current law worked. The criminal kept their firearm outside. Unfortunately, not their lead.

I can't seem to find it, but there used to be a video (several years ago) online taken from a security camera in a bar that had a metal detector at the entrance.
The bad guy stood outside of the metal detector and shot through it at the bar's occupants.
