Gander Mountain and magazines

Post by standerson » Wed Aug 16, 2017 7:27 pm

Went to Gander and picked up a bunch of Sig and S&W Mags. The prices were actually reasonable.

Gee, just in time to save them from bankruptcy! ;)

LoL, The one near me already closed last month.
It was the 1st time in one actually I had bought some ammo off them years ago online.. But that's it.

When I went it was 70% OFF!
Ya well.. not really depends on what it was and I personally didn't see anything over 60% off

Only mags they had was for XD, I don't have.. And could not tell you if it was reasonable or not.

I do know virtually everything else I seen was so overpriced they needed to go out of business just to be competitive.

They had hard any guns left except 900+ dollar AR's and 1600+ shotguns and hunting rifles.
Well except for a half dozen overpriced handguns.

They did have 2 1/2 display cases full of rough rider 22lr's.. although even with the %off was still 40-50 dollars higher then every where else, Can get them pretty regularly for 99 dollars elsewhere.

I have no idea how they was able to stay in business as long as they did.

Going to be interesting to see what Gander Outdoors will be like when they reopen.

The CEO of Camping world has said the old stores concentrated too much on gun sales but has also said the new stores will concentrate on gun sales.

LOL It's pretty sad if they concentrated on guns and still could not compete, They couldn't touch the LGS and the LGS can't compete with the internet.

Camping world has lot of overpriced stuff too.
So I'd say it'll just be a rerun of GM 1.0
