North central ohio pistol leagues

Post by ohgary » Tue Dec 27, 2011 5:51 pm

Are there any pistol leagues in north/central Ohio, Mansfield to Columbus area? Most of what I am seeing way to far to drive on a regular basis.

What type of shooting are you looking for? Bullseye, trap, practical (IDPA/USPSA), etc.?

IDPA is what I vision, Not sure what USPSA is. What I am looking for. Real/semi-real world targets. I can go out and shoot paper, but would like to improve on my skills. Not looking for an super competitive but something I can compete with a stock gun in.

You can find information on IDPA clubs at the IDPA website (http://www.idpa.com/clublist.asp?pick=OH). Ashland Lake is probably the closest (http://www.ashlandlakegunclub.org/) and will likely be starting up in April but you'll have to check the club calendar for dates. They usually have their first match in March, an IDPA class in April and the classifier in May. June through September are regular matches and usually a BUG match in October. Always enjoy the matches there and lunch is usually pretty good as well (included with the match fee).
