The man was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the thigh

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Police say a man accidentally shot himself in a Youngstown home on Tuesday while he said he was fixing the gun for a friend.

The man was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the thigh. Police said it seemed like the bullet also grazed his palm.

During their investigation, police found that the man had a warrant for his arrest out of Cuyahoga County and a past conviction for kidnapping, which would prohibit him from having a weapon.

Police said when the man shot himself, there were a lot of people inside the E. Laclede Avenue home, including two kids.

    Officers took the gun.
Hence it is, that democracies have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths. James Madison, Federalist Paper No 10

Hm.... Here in Youngstown, we usually arrest the homeowner.... Unless, of course, if the weapon is of decent quality, in which situation, the weapon is arrested (seems to have been done), and the lawyer's get together to transfer the gun to somebody.
