  • Rambo Is anti-2nd Amendment?

U.S.A. – -( “Sylvester Stallone gets back to his roots with explosive new trailer for ‘Rambo: Last Blood',” Agence France-Presse reports on the fifth installment in the series, scheduled for a September release. “Still in top shape at 73, Stallone's muscles are put to good use to save the life of his friend's daughter, who's been kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel.”

It won’t just be his muscles put to use, but plenty of weapons, including guns. How he’ll keep and bear them in Mexico without violating almost as many gun laws as ATF’s Phoenix Field Division is left unstated in what looks to be a nonstop blood orgy with first-rate Hollywood production values.

Those are the only first-rate values we’ll see out of a guy who has attained a ludicrous fortune through cinematic “gun violence,” all the while claiming the right for himself while undermining yours. Stallone’s total in-your-face hypocrisy on the matter makes it fair to ask why any gun owner rights advocate would give him another dime.

Until America, door to door, takes every handgun, this is what you're gonna have,” Stallone declared after comedian Phil Hartman was murdered by his wife. It wasn’t just an observation, it was a recommendation:
“It's pathetic. It really is pathetic. It's sad. We're living in the Dark Ages over there. It has to be stopped, and someone really has to go on the line, a certain dauntless political figure, and say, ‘It's ending, it's over, all bets are off.’ It's not 200 years ago, we don't need this anymore, and the rest of the world doesn't have it. Why should we?”
That pretend warrior Stallone should call on government raids to disarm millions of real veterans and the rest of his countrymen goes beyond hypocritical. It’s contemptible. And he didn’t stop there.

Not only are there additional anti-Second Amendment quotes, but also photos of Stallone pumping his fist at a Brady Center event in Los Angeles. Oh, and did I mention he was issued one of those “may issue” (meaning “may not” to you and me) Los Angeles concealed carry permits?

    What an ASS...
Hence it is, that democracies have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths. James Madison, Federalist Paper No 10
