  • Columbia River Knife and Tool

For many years I've carried a spring assisted CRKT Wild Weasel knife and really love it. After the assist spring broke I contacted CRKT for a replacement. Since they no longer make or handle this style knife they did offer a monetary amount to replace my broken knife from their current catalog. After examining their catalog I found that over 340 products available only ONE was made in the U.S.A. Very disappointed with CRKT!! Guess they would rather deal with China, Tiawian products....NO more CRKT products for me!!

Might want to check out the Bantam line from Buck knives. I have never had a better knife for $20. Blade steel is USA made & assembled in Idaho. (I think the handle material is sourced off-shore) Proves you don't need to make knives offshore to make an inexpensive yet quality blade. The Buck Bantam Knife I have is light weight & rides in the pocket unoticed for a substantial size blade.

I used to have a CRKT M16 when I was in the Navy and they were USA made ... I (& the sea) pretty much wore that knife out --- yet I was able to disable it & maintain it numerous times. Somehow the knife got lost in the past few years...

You're right Viking...the M16 knife is the ONLY knife they have made in the U.S.A.
