You got the "build an avatar" part right, but it's too detailed to read....

Sammy was a lot younger when I took that picture, but the idea is to keep it to a single and not too detailed image.

If you look up a few posts, the picture of Peaches & Duke probably would resolve to "what's that?" for the same reason, even though it's pretty viewable as small as it is. A "head shot" of either cat, without changing the size, would be OK, too, and a crop to just show both of the cat's faces might cut it.

Don't give up, though .... I forget what the size limit is - 64 x 64, maybe, but as you can see, you can test 'em here....

You can also shortcut wandering back & forth to the Control Panel by just putting the images in a message here - {img}{/img} (with square brackets and the URL of the image between the tags) will display in Preview, without restrictions and other problems. Once you get something nice, you can put it into the Control Panel.

Always did like 'em.... Peaches definitely is attached to me, and Duke, who's afraid of everything, sometimes (when Sammy's not around) actually pesters to be petted now.

The only problem is that I like to play an MP3 player in bed while trying to get to sleep. Peaches was on my chest one night as I was listening to some music, and all of a sudden the headset went dead. She'd chewed through the cord....

Sammy's still "top dog" , but some mornings I find all three of 'em on the bed when I wake up.

Sammy's our third dog in 35 years of marriage. First puppy, though. The last one, a Cocker, didn't quite understand the difference between grass and carpeting. That was kind of fun. Sammy was about 2/3 trained when Becka gave him to us. Lots of "quick moves" to get him outside, but not too bad. I bought some of those little piddle pads for him - the idea is that if he "goes" someplace, you clean it up, and then put one of those pads down. Then you take the pad outside - really the same trick as newspaper training, but if he decides to go on the same place, it's easier. Sammy liked to tear up newspapers, but when I put one of those pads down on an "accident" he never went near it again.... Eventually ran out of carpeted areas in the family room .... (I used to have to take him outside - he was afraid....)

The cats - well, you generally just show 'em where the sandbox is, and that's that. Once in a while you get a surprise, though, and you really can't train a cat. (You don't own 'em. They choose to co-exist with you....)

Could be worse - Peaches sometimes actually watches TV, but hasn't figured out the remote yet....
