Mossberg 500

Post by BudgetGun » Fri Feb 19, 2016 8:23 am

Hey Guys,

So lets start with what I have then where I was going.

Mossberg 500 w/ 18" barrel and pistol grip. Bought a 28" barrel and wood stock and fore-end. The barrel and stock went on with no problem. The fore-end however seems to be the wrong length.

I removed the fore-end on the gun and took it apart for the action slide assembly. When I went to assemble it to the wood fore-end, it was too long and slides back and forth in the wood fore-end.

Anyone have an explanation and or maybe some help how to make it work?
I attached some pictures ... maybe they will help

I found this. So I guess I have the longer fore-end assembly and the new wood fore-end is made for the short one. I guess my loss.
